Vlogmas Day 22

Here is the meatball recipe.  It makes a lot of sauce so I usually either double the meatballs or half the sauce.  In the video I used prepared meatballs (and followed their cooking instructions), enough to fill a 1.6 litre (about 1.5 quart) casserole.

Meatballs (makes about 30)
Meatballs:
1 lb hamburger
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/2 cup water
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Mix the above ingredients and form into meatballs.  Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.  While the meatballs are cooking, prepare the sauce.

Sauce:
2 cups brown sugar
2 Tblsp flour

1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 Tblsp soya sauce
1 Tblsp ketchup

Stir together the brown sugar and flour in large pot or microwaveable mixing bowl.  Combine the remaining ingredients and add to the brown sugar mixture.  Bring to a boil, stirring frequently, using your preferred method of stove top or microwave.  Be careful not to let it boil over.

Transfer meatballs to casserole dish and combine with sauce.  Heat through.  Enjoy!
